Capital letters
The rules on capital letters are very important. You have to learn these rules by heart.
You use a capital letter when writing one of the following items:
- days of the week and months of the year (Monday, August...)
- holidays (Christmas, Easter...)
- 'I' when speaking about yourself ( I like to swim)
- names of people, pets and places (Cedric, Faro, Antwerp...)
- at the beginning of a sentence ( The dog is barking.)
