Punctuation marks

Punctuation is the system of symbols that is used to separate sentences and to give the reader an idea on how the speaker is expressing the message. These symbols are called punctuation marks.

Punctuation marks help to structure sentences and texts and to make them more readable. The meaning of (parts of) sentences also becomes more clear by using punctuation marks.
