Unit 1: Numbers 

  • Basic

NUMBER MEMORY

In this exercise, you will practise listening to numbers 1 to 10 in a memory game. There will be 20 cards with their backs facing you on the screen. You will be able to turn two cards every turn to try and match the correct number to the correct audio clip of someone saying that number.

  • Intermediate

CONNECT

In this exercise, you must connect the written-out numbers to the correct digits. There are 16 cards you must connect to the correct digit. You are allowed to make 10 mistakes, but every time you make a mistake, your score will drop.

CROSSWORD PUZZLE

In this exercise, you will practise by writing different numbers in a crossword puzzle. Mind your spelling for this exercise. If you make spelling mistakes, you will not be able to fill in the puzzle correctly. Once you are done, press "check" and you can see if you made any mistakes and then correct them.

  • Advanced

TELEPHONE

In this exercise, you must write out the phone numbers that you are told. Once you press start, a woman will begin dictating different phone numbers. She will take short breaks between each number, but you can still pause it if you need to. Make sure you write the telephone numbers below each other and not next to each other.

MATH

In this exercise, you will have to solve a mathematical equation and then choose the correct answer. There are 10 questions and for every exercise, you will get 4 options to choose from. Mind that you only have 8 minutes to complete the exercise.

FILL IN THE BLANKS

In this exercise, you will have to fill in the blanks to complete the dialogue. The dialogue is about greeting people. You will have unlimited time to complete the exercise but for every mistake you make, your score will drop

  • Intermediate
    MEETING AT THE AIRPORT
    In this exercise, you are going to watch a video about a group of people meeting. You will be asked multiple-choice questions about the dialogue during and after the video. If your answer is incorrect, the computer will let you know and you get a second chance and the opportunity to watch again.
